Her research interest lies in the interdisciplinary understanding of IT-enhanced learning, knowledge and teaching processes of learners and organisations. Focus of research are systemic-constructivistic theoretical models and their implications for design and usage of webbased educational technologies and tools (action-research).

Current research interest lies in the potential of ePortfolio-technologies to support competence based Learning, didactical and technical challenges thereof; other fields of interest are the application of Open Educational Resources and organisational/political consequences ducation; questions of eLearning evaluation; Gender Research & ICT; Innovation&ICT. The studies on systemic organisational development and work on collaborative eLearning form the basis for her approach in understanding the vital processes of CHANGE, induced when introducing and applying new knowledge and learning technologies & tools in the educational domain.

Background / Expertise
Veronika Hornung-Prähauser, born 1966, studied Organisational Development at University of Vienna and Business Administration (WU-Wien). She holds a postgraduate degree in International and European Relations. Since 2001 she works as project manager and senior researcher at Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft.
