Intelligent Connectivity: Reliably Networked
Networking matters: The basis for the Internet of Things is a reliable, secure and increasingly wireless network. Different, mostly mobile devices and components are networked, large amounts of data are transported quickly, safely and inexpensively – privately and in companies. We examine the quality of networks and distributed systems, plan and develop sophisticated and reliable communication solutions as well as their monitoring and management. So that things get safely online – trustworthy and reliable.
Technologies & Methods:
Decision support before purchasing new software: Realistic simulation and measurement of how the software copes with the expected load and what effects the application has on the network infrastructure.
Troubleshooting a time-critical one-to-many push voice service. Salzburg Research simulated the service with virtual measuring points and measured the connection. In this way, the error could be identified and rectified quickly.
Salzburg Research systematically and continuously recorded the broadband availability in a federal state and created a neutral, provider-independent database for evaluating mobile broadband availability.
