Common projects

KOMOA – Concept Study for a Mobility Observatory Austria

Mobility data is playing an increasingly important role in the development of strategies and the planning of measures. In KOMOA, a concept study is being developed for the inclusion of different data bases for the comprehensive and timely provision of situation reports on mobility in Austria.

more

PowerTeams – Collaborative engineering of smart grid applications

Collaborative and partially automated engineering of Smart Grid applications along the entire life cycle.

more

Touristenströme

Together with AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology – Salzburg Research is supporting Tourism Salzburg GmbH and Altstadt Salzburg in this multi-annual project as competence partner for the evaluation, planning and realisation of a system for smart visitor management.

more

ECOSINT – Energy Community System Integration

Consumption of energy within the framework of local energy communities (LECs for short). However, a positive effect on the operation of the energy networks is the top priority.

more

Bike2CAV – Avoidance of cyclist collisions thanks to vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication

Development and validation of methods for the avoidance of cyclist collisions through vehicle-to-x communication.

more

EMotion: Electric Mobility in L-Category Vehicles for all generations

The required reduction of CO2 emissions requires alternative mobility concepts – especially in rural and suburban areas. Within the project EMotion, Salzburg Research, together with well-known project partners, is developing new possibilities in the field of light electric mobility. In particular, commuters could use this technology to get to work in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way. more

SHared automation Operating models for Worldwide adoption

SHOW is the biggest and most holisitic ever real life CCAV (connected cooperative autonomous vehicle) urban demonstration initiative taking place in 20 cities across Europe.

more

Digibus® Austria

Exploring and testing methods, technologies and models for the reliable and safe operation of automated vehicles as carriers in a regional, intermodal mobility system. more

IoT4CPS – Trustworthy IoT for CPS

The main focus of IoT4CPS will be on developing, producing and operating, highly trustable components and applications for Connected and Automated Driving. more

MESSE – Model-based Engineering and Validation Support for Cyber-Physical Energy Systems

The massive deployment of distributed generators from renewable sources in recent years has led to a fundamental paradigm change in terms of planning and operation of the electric power system. MESSE develops of a concept for a model-based engineering and validation support system, covering the overall engineering process for smart grid applications – from use case design to validation and deployment. more

Virtuegrid – Virtualisation for resilient and secure Smart Grid communication networks

Ongoing digitisation of power grids by large numbers of ICT-components for the purpose of extensive integration of renewable energy sources (REC) is demanding for novel system management strategies. The VirtueGrid project evaluates the potentials emerging from using virtualisation technolgies in the area of power grid control. more

MMAssist II

Assistance systems in production in the context of human – machine cooperation more

SCS – Smart Campus Salzburg

As part of Smart Campus Salzburg new concepts for the decentralized balancing of energy generation, consumption and storage using a trading-based approach for energy exchange are developed and necessary Smart Grid and Internet of Things technologies are researched and validated. more

Wudoku

According to international studies 5 – 25 % of all patients with limited mobility (slow-goes and no-goes) are affected by bedsore (lat. decubitus). For prophylaxis and treatment of decubitus, a system will be developed, capable on the one hand to actively involve people with high decubitus risk in decubitus prophylaxis, and which on the other hand eases the encouragement of high risk patients by professional caregivers.  more

GUSTAV – Mobile disaster documentation and online disaster management

Future GALILEO application for disaster management more

IPEN – IP Infrastructure for Energy Networks

Study of interdependencies between the communication and the electrical network, in particular, how impairments of the communication quality (e.g. large delays, packet loss) affect the quality of control in the electrical network. more

Vienna-SPIRIT – Intelligent Transport Planning

A real-time travel information system eases the change to public transport more

Open-Spirit – Study and Pilot-Demonstration of intermodal/interoperable Traveller-Information-Technologies
