Digital Health Technologies: Human-Centered Health

Digital technologies open up new opportunities to promote health, prevent disease, and provide more personalized care. We develop and evaluate human-centered digital health solutions that combine scientific evidence, modern data analytics, artificial intelligence, and behavioral science approaches. Together with people affected, healthcare professionals, companies, and public institutions, we support innovations from needs assessment through development and validation to sustainable implementation in real-world settings. In doing so, we build on the expertise developed at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention. This results in evidence-based, personalized, and practical solutions for prevention, prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and healthcare.

Technologies & Methods:

  • Data-driven and AI-based personalization of digital health applications
  • Analysis and modeling of patient-generated health and behavioral data
  • Development of adaptive and context-sensitive digital interventions
  • Human-centered design and participatory development and decision-making processes
  • Evaluation, implementation research, and transfer into real-world healthcare and application settings
