Maker Days Vol.2: Music Workshop

About 25 children made their own musical instruments from a wide variety of materials. From various flutes to rattles and rainmakers to mini-guitars – everything was represented and was used strongly at the final concert. The KOMPASS association has also explained to the present makers how a circuit works and has introduced them into the world of programming. The children were then able to use the acquired knowledge in the MakeyMakeys controllers brought along, and to explore how fruit or vegetables can be used to operate a computer – Banana claviers or apple drums occurred. Over the afternoon there was also a contribution to the radio factory, for which the children diligently collected sound recordings and interviews.

Half-time: two exciting Maker Days are still to come

At the next meeting on November 18, 2016, robots come to life: the children will discover science, technology, mechanical engineering and mathematics with motorized LEGO robots. You may program a robot game or build doodle robots, brush- and vibrobots.
