Salzburg Research at the ICT 2018

“ICT 2018: Imagine Digital – Connect Europe” is the key European event for research and innovation in information and communication technology (ICT). It will be organized by the European Commission and will take place in Vienna from 4 to 6 December 2018. The Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will host the next ICT event at the Austria Center Vienna. The ICT events organized by the European Commission since 1998 have become Europe’s most prominent international ICT forum. This unique event brings together the entire ICT research and innovation community.

Salzburg Research at the ICT 2018

Salzburg Research will be represented at ICT 2018 on the occasion of the event „IMAGINE18 – 3 in 1 – Smart Living, Trustworthy IoT and Datamarket” with two projects (IoT4CPS & fit4AAL). This program covers three separate but interrelated topics: Smart Living, Trusted Internet of Things (IoT) and Datamarket. Discuss with developers how to develp and make available data and services. Develop guidelines, methods and tools for secure IoT-based applications in the area of connected and autonomous vehicles and Industry 4.0. Discuss opportunities and challenges of Active and Assisted Living (AAL). This community session will take place on the second day of the event at 11:30 in Hall F. In addition, the NIMBLE project will be presented through an exhibition stand throughout the event. The networking session “Federated Smart Factory ecosystem” will also be held on 5 December at 5:30 pm in Hall 4 of Salzburg Research. Further information on the ICT 2018 can be found on the event website.

These Salzburg Research Projects are Represented at ICT 2018

IoT4CPS – Trustworthy IoT for CPS

IoT4CPS aims to harness the full potential of cyber-physical systems and their applications in automated driving and Industry 4.0. For this, operational and technical aspects have to be considered in a holistic way. The goal is to ensure trusted interaction across devices, machines, and networks, and to ensure the integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of information, production data, and intellectual property. fit4AAL: Fit Into a New Phase of Life With New Technologies

Fit4AAL relies on an expandable (growing) and affordable plug & play solution for the next generation of retirees who are more technologically advanced. With this, users are to be made physically fit(ter) and on the other hand “fit for the use” of supporting technologies. This is achieved by combining smart home components with smart services and appropriate health-promoting preventive measures. The latter focus on the areas of exercise, nutrition and relaxation. NIMBLE – Collaborative Network for Industry, Manufacturing, Business and Logistics in Europe

The NIMBLE project develops an open-source-based B2B platform infrastructure that can be specialized by operators for regional or sector-specific B2B solutions. Through these platforms, SMEs should be able to define sopply chains and be able to network more closely in terms of production logistics in order to be able to use company-wide optimization potential.
