2. Design Service Jam – from the idea to the prototype in 48 hours

From 17 to 19 February 2017 the Global Service Jam took place for the second time in Salzburg Citiy. For two days, a service idea was developed in small teams and a prototype was built from it. That meant: learning, doing, networking and having frun.

One question – one world – many possibilities

2-4 people, 48 hours, one topic: As evry year, it was about developing a prototype for a serice. A questionnaire was announced worldwide at the same time and worked by all teams. In these teams of two to four people, a prototype was developed, moderated and accompanied by DesignThinking professionals from an idea. All projects were presented with a short video produced by the teams themselves on an international platform. On this site you can now see all the transformations of hundreds of teams from all over the world.

Since 2010 the Service Design Jam has been held all over the world and is organized every year from a different point of view. This year’s topic was strictly secret until it was unveiled around the world at the same time: hello? lo? o? o.

It’s about doing and not talking!

All participants learn methods of design thinking: use innovative mindset, how does service design work? Which methods and tools help you design? It’s all about trying. By working with people from different disciplines and industries, great ideas are created.
