Interfaces for energy management in Smart Grids

Study to identify relevant protocols and interfaces for energy management in Smart Grid infrastructures.

The study should identify relevant protocols and interfaces for energy management in Smart Grid infrastructures. The increasing numbers of decentralized electrical energy production systems brings new challenges in the control and the interoperability of such energy systems. The European Mandate M490 deals with the requirements, with the interoperability and the safety of new Smart Grid infrastructures and should show a roadmap to solve the problems.

The study should give a first starting point to evaluate the different protocols and interfaces in the area of Smart Grid energy systems. New regenerative energy systems cause to new requirements in the interworking of energy producer and energy consumer and claim the distribution network provider.
