EduMoodle – Evaluation of the learning platform EduMoodle
A study on the use of EduMoodle commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture
In 2005 the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture started the EduMoodle project that allows schools and other educational institutions to use the open source Moodle platform for teaching and learning. In Spring 2010 already 1800 EduMoodle instances were implemented that had over 250.000 users.
Salzburg Research evaluated the use of EduMoodle based on quantitative and qualitative data. The evaluation also aimed to provide insights on the potential and success factors of e-learning with regards to a higher level of personalization and innovative changes in educational institutions.
