AAL Methods

Study: The integration of end users as a critical success factor for the development of AAL products and services

A critical success factor for the development of new AAL products and services and their acceptance in the market is to involve the relevant stakeholder communities already in early stages of the product or service development. This does not only concern usability aspects, but also the development of an effective business model for managing the difficult step from an R&D project to the market entry. Salzburg Research conducts a study on behalf of the FFG (October 2014 – May 2015 which provides an overview of different methods how to involve stakeholders and compares. The study addresses future AAL projects; it provides them with suggestions and guidelines and, thus, supports them in developing a suitable methodology for the project.
