Bicycle Observatory Workshop: Basics Of A Sustainable Cycling Culture
Mach 30, 2020, 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
As part of the Austrian Bike Summit 2020 in Vienna
Gösserhalle Vienna
Laxenburgrstrasse 2B, 1100 Vienna

Target group: Experts from planning, politics and business

Agenda:

  • Bicycle Observatory: The database
  • How the data can be used to identify and describe different types of cyclists
  • World Café: How can the data basis be used in the different areas

As part of the Bicycle Observatory research project, data has been collected over the past two years that make bicycle mobility more “understandable”. The range of this data ranges from expert interviews and focus groups, through surveys, statistical data, mobility surveys, weather and counting point data to movement data from smartphone applications and some more.

The data should be used to gain new insights into bicycle mobility, provide evidence bases for (planning) decisions and prepare the basis for innovative business models.

To support the ability to plan the workshop, please register. Please note that participation in the workshop is only possible for registered participants of the bike summit: Registration
