Digibus Koppl

Under the direction of Salzburg Research, the Digibus examines important questions about automated mobility for the „last mile“. The last mile – the way from the stop to the home or destination – is a critical aspect for the customer acceptance of existing public transport. Automated vehicles might close this gap in the future.

In order to explore acceptance and personal experiences, test runs are offered to interested passengers. You can come to the announced test trips without registration or ticket. Get in and experience the future of driving!

Next public test run:

  • Sunday, September 10, 2017, 1 – 5 pm

With the Digibus, Salzburg Research is the first organization in Austria to carry out test runs with an autonomous vehicle on public roads on the basis of the AutomatFahrV.

The current route between the village center and the federal highway 158 is one of the longest routes worldwide, which is run independently on public roads.
