„MINTwoch“: Journey Into The Research World

Salzburg Research and the University of Salzburg invite you on a journey into the world of research as part of the regular workshop series on “MINTwoch” in the Science City Itzling.

School classes (primarily between the 7th and 10th grade) are invited to immerse themselves in the world of science and technology in their direct work with scientists.

Students aged between 12 and 16 choose two workshps on site (duration of 1 hour each).

The Science City Itzling is the cluster of knowledge and innovation where academic teaching, application-oriented research and technology-friendly startups meet. The establishment of the MINT:labs strengthens the interdisciplinary cooperation and bundles the knowledge at the location. The Departments of Chemistry and Physics of Materials, Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Mathematics, the Center for Human-Computer Interaction, the School of Education of Salzburg University and Salzburg Research are involved.

Through targeted knowledge transfer in workshops, children and adolescents will be enthusiastic about natural sciences and technology in the long term, get to know the training opportunities in the Science City Itzling and discover new occupational fields.
