Digital transformation has potentially far-reaching effects in the medium and long term. In the German-speaking world, it is often described as a “fourth industrial revolution” (“Industrie 4.0”). Head of Studies Dr. Markus Lassnig of Salzburg Research and Michael Stummer, Senior Manager at Syngroup, the largest Austrian industrial consultant, present the results of the latest study “Industry 4.0 in Austria – Digital Transformation through Industry 4.0 and New Business Models in Austrian Companies” on behalf of the BMVIT. The study is based on detailed interviews with 68 managers and thus draws a current picture of the various perspectives of the local economy on the subject of industry 4.0. What are the specific activities of the companies? What impact does digital transformation have on business models? What are the greatest barriers and challenges? What kind of conditions do you need to be successful in digital change? All these are questions that Markus Lassnig and Michael Stummer will discuss with you on Wednesday, June 7th.
