First Mini Maker Faire in Salzburg

Salzburg Research, together with its partners, brings the success concept of Maker Faire to Salzburg. Within the framework of the Maker Days, a festival of (digital) creativity, innovation and inspiration is created. Everyone is welcome, the entrance is free – just drop in on the 29th of April 2017.

For the second time already, Salzburg Research has organized the “Maker Days@Stadt:Bilbiothek” together with the city library Stadt:Bibliothek and Verein Spektrum – an open digital creative workshop for children and young people. The success concept is now being continued and expanded: “Touch and try out” will be a majour issue on 29th April at the first Mini Maker Faire in Salzburg. Puzzlers, lateral thinkers and creative minds present their DIY projects at many interesting participating stations and workshops. Whether children, youngsters, parents or grandparents, hobby-tinkerers, professionals or just curious – all can be creative together and work on exciting projects, tinker, tinkle and 3D print.

No matter how old, with or without prior experience – everyone is welcome! Because “makers are found in all age groups. They are fun-loving self-helpers with fun. They are creative heads, inventive cross-thinkers and technical enthusiasts – it is precisely these talents that must be encouraged. They are key players in research, in the economy and in our society, “says Siegfried Reich, Managing Director of Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH.”
