Within the scope of the 4^th FCD Forum Salzburg 2017, applications and usage scenarios of Floating Car Data (FCD) are presented from different perspectives and discussed together with you. This year, in cooperation with the exploration project Mikro-ÖVAU, a first look at the future topic Automated Driving is also being dared. In the afternoon there will be the possibility of a test drive with a self-propelled minibus.

The FCD Modellregion Salzburg makes a major contribution to the implementation of intelligent transport systems (IVS) in Austria. Within the framework of the FCD Model Region of Salzburg, intermodal ITS services are operated on the basis of floating car data for traffic planning, traffic information and traffic control and are examined for their benefit. The focus of the model region is the networking of vehicles, vehicle fleets, traffic infrastructure operators and roas users for the comprehensive coverage of real-time traffic data as well as the service-oriented use of real-time traffic information and other ITS services.

The FCD Model Region Salzburg was set up in a project funded by the Climate and Energy Fund in the years 2012-2014 and has been operated by Salzburg Research on behalf of the Landesbaudirektion Salzburg.
