Building robots, daring the first steps in programming, experimenting with a 3D printer and getting to know Salzburg’s most successful companies in the technology and IT sector: A very special summer holiday offer made this possible.

For the most beautiful time of the year, IV Salzburg, WKS, akzente Salzburg, FH, Salzburg Research and ITG Salzburg have put together an exciting and varied program for young people together with the companies this year. For a total of two weeks, more than 60 interested girls and boys between the ages of 12 and 16 were able to get a taste of technology and IT. At Salzburg Research, the youngsters plunged into the world of 3D printing and created their own spinner. Furthermore, they could venture the first steps in programming or try out soldering in the Science City Itzling.

During the two holiday weeks A1, Atomic, Commend International GmbH, ÖBB Infrastruktur AG, Palfinger AG, Porsche Informatik, Sony DADC, Salzburg AG, SKIDATA AG, W&H Dentalwerk Bürmoos as well as the University of Applied Science Salzburg, the happylab and Salzburg Research offered interesting insights and workshops.
