SECURE – Strengthening EU SMEs Cyber Resilience
Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe in implementing security measures and complying with the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act.
The consortium relies on close cooperation between the National Cybersecurity Coordination Centers (NCCs) and the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs). This extensive collaboration aims to engage as many stakeholder groups as possible to enhance the cybersecurity resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Cyber resilience and competitiveness
Supporting SMEs is of central importance—not only to protect them from cyber threats, but also to strengthen the EU’s digital single market. Targeted support measures, practical resources, and clear guidance help companies implement regulations effectively. These measures ensure their economic success and competitiveness.
Therefore, a wide range of measures is planned, including cybersecurity training and resources, as well as support in the following areas:
- Integration of cybersecurity into the development processes of products and services, thereby promoting a culture of “security by design”
- Strengthening SME supply chains for cyber defense
- Assistance for SMEs in implementing the Cyber Resilience Act requirements
- Improving the cyber resilience of SMEs to safeguard the economy
- Supporting SMEs in implementing long-term, sustainable cybersecurity measures
