AQUILA – End of the World Wide Wait?

Architecture to enable the dynamic Internet QoS-demands of modern multimedia applikations.

Todays Internet offers only one service class that is used by a variety of applications. Modern multimedia applications, however, require different and higher quality standards (QoS) of the network.

AQUILA (Adaptive Resource Control for QoS Using an IP-based Layered Architecture) aims at just this: A network based upon the AQUILA architecture is able to fulfil a variety of quality standards for applications such as Internet telephony, premium Web surfing and video streaming.
